Give Thanks

This poem was written Thanksgiving 2012 and inspired by my irreplaceable Devo. Among the many things I Iearned from him, Devo taught me to be grateful for all of life's unexpected twists and turns. :-)

Give Thanks…… That your dog can break his start line, That a knocked bar is your biggest fear, For the year’s off courses you shared together, For the runs that could have been better,... For the times your dog got a Q, but the ribbon was not blue, For the moments when your dog Qd not, but the thrill of speed you got, Give thanks for all of the things your dog did and did not do, Be thankful they are by your side today to love you through and through. Happy Thanksgiving!
