Lady Gaga “Mad Dash Edge of Glory” May 23, 2011 – July 12, 2018
Lady Gaga illogically excelled in a sport unintended for dogs her size, and she won….again…..and again. Soaring past Labrador Retrievers and other dogs 10” taller and 10x her weight, Gaga defied gravity to place 4th at the DockDogs World Championship in the Junior Division. She is the only toy breed to receive a DockDogs World Championship invite or earn a Senior Level DockDogs title. Lady Gaga’s brief, but indelible legacy on the sport of dock diving will hopefully continue to inspire other wee ones to soar.
Lady Gaga was my girlie girl, always feminine, never frivolous, with the intensity of Chanel Vamp. She lived as an All-American rockstar, taunted squirrels on the daily and bounced ballistic for balls and strawberries. Gaga was Teflon on the outside and melted sweet cream butter at her core. Her billowy cotton candy kisses launched a sensorial symphony. She loved kids, kind strangers, but not particularly cats. Her morning monkey grunts made for effervescent dialogue. Lady Gaga embodied a mermaid’s beauty, the grace of a lynx and spirit of a Siberian tiger. She floated fearlessly above land and sea, a wisp of windswept cotton. She would vogue-strike-a-pose in her infamous rouge stroller squealing in undulation waiting to dive. Gaga’s eclectic and electric energy enveloped crowds in a haze of frenzy; she never failed to deliver a great show. Most of all, she was my soft spot to land, my pool of dreams.
Lady Gaga’s soul had much more living to do, but no longer the body to do it in. So, peacefully in my arms we said goodbye. I’ll miss you forever and eternity my Googie Girl; it was an amazing adventure. Until we meet again, “Rah rah ah-ah-ah, Ro mah ro-mah-mah, mama loves Gaga….” Thanks for our romance!
